Computer Background
Computer refers to an electronic device that can process data in a number of ways. There are certain types of computers based on their capabilities, physical features, and prices. The most common, however, are personal computers which features are very useful to any individual. They can be hand held gadgets that can be bought and used anywhere. Portable personal computers include laptop and palmtop. Aside from personal computers, there are time-sharing models which have enormous mainframe systems and are capable of greater performance than personal computers are. This type of computer requires a number of people to operate. As technology becomes more advanced, computer can be embedded in any devices such as wristwatch and still be capable of certain high tech processes.The history of computer is as ancient as the abacus, the first device considered a computer. However, the word computer came into use in 17th century which refers not to the device but to any person who can perform calculations or computations. The technology for modern computers only began when devices that are programmable began to be constantly developed.
