Soda Ash Primarily Used in Water Softeners

Our town is located on the banks of a river.  The river water is pumped into the town’s water treatment plant and then piped into our homes.  We are fortunate to live so closely to a good source of water, but the chemicals used for purification purposes leaves the water extremely “hard”.  This causes all sorts of problems for homeowners.  Hard water will cause corrosion to develop on kitchen and bathroom fixtures, leave a brown ring in the toilet bowl, and prevent detergent from dissolving properly and producing suds.  A water softener will treat your water supply so that it is “soft”, allowing your laundry detergent to dissolve and make the suds necessary to clean your clothes properly.  Soda Ash UK is the primary ingredient used to soften water.
