The ultra-thin design found in the iPod made it massively popular among the masses. At first, there were mixed reactions regarding the price tag, the unconventional scroll wheel and lack of windows compatibility. Despite all these problems, it went on to become a major hit surpassing everyone’s expectations. It has greatly changed the way of portable media players that are in use today. The rest as they say is history. The first iPod only worked on Mac but Apple soon realised that if they want to gain market share, they need something more.
