Children are more susceptible
I am a member of a civic organization and we conducted a medical mission for cold sores treatment to some urban places. We are surprised to see that in all placee we visited, the number of children with cold sore cases was quite high and has increased significantly from last year’s figures - mostly children below 3 years old who normally have low immune system.
Part of the medical mission we usually do is to educate the parents on cold sore remedies and treatments. They are given lectures and reading materials about cold sores and other illnesses; and how to prevent and deal with them.
