More risks discovered in using statins for lower blood pressure
Despite the revelation of increasing health risks, doctors and drug companies continue to push for using statins for lower blood pressure. Statins are a group of drugs loved by doctors and the drug industry because they can prescribe them to so many people. They claim that statins can cut the risk of high blood pressure and heart disease by huge amounts and they want to prescribe them to everyone over the age of forty.
However, it soon emerged that people using statins were suffering horrible side effects. They include painful muscle spasms, impotence, liver damage and even deaf. As if these were not enough, new studies show that statins also increase the risk of diabetes. The combined risks of statins are enormous and yet the medical establishment pushes them relentlessly.
