Metal Active Gas Welding

Gas Metal Arc Welding (MAG Schweissen) is the type of welding where a weld gun is not only used as a torch to heat the edges of the metals to be joined but is also used as a gas blower where the gas acts as protective layer for the molten metal. There are two types of GMAW. One of them is the metal active gas welding. Here the gas which sprouts out from the hose of the gun is an active gas. This gas produces a protective layer over the gap with the molten metal to prevent it from getting contaminated with outside impurities. Because of the reactive nature of this active gas usually metal active gas welding cannot be done outdoors like other welding processes.
